AED ↔ AUD — why our prices refresh twice a day

The AED is pegged to the USD at 3.6725. The AUD floats. That difference is the entire reason FX timestamps matter on every listing card.

The AED is pegged to the USD at 3.6725. The AUD is not. That's why the AUD prices on this site are indicative and are updated twice a day.

When you look at a property priced at 2,500,000 AED, the AUD figure depends on where the Australian dollar is trading that day. A half-cent move in the Australian dollar changes the AUD equivalent of a 2,500,000 AED property by around A$8,000.

IPM updates its exchange rate twice a day from a third-party provider and shows AUD prices alongside the AED price, so you can see the conversion. We don't hedge or lock the rate for individual buyers, and we don't take a view on where the Australian dollar is going next.

Exchange rates can move significantly between enquiry and settlement, so allow for movement when planning your budget.
